Elk MeatElk meat is very similar to bison meat in that it is a very healthy alternative to beef. It is low in fat and calories, but still very flavorful and full of protein. Elk meat's lean nature does, however, means that it cooks a little more quickly than beef so care should be taken to ensure that it is not over cooked.
